Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment that is based upon the crisis in America that picked into Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters in the country's first impeachment trial in more than 100 years. The two-season run she had on the CBS show B Positive was her first major character. It was produced by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. The show featured Linda Lavin Sheryl Crow, Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. Her portrayal of Essie in You Can't Take It with You was a winner of the Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde is among her other Broadway performances. Ashford, who was brought up in Denver and now lives living in Los Angeles and New York.
