Tony Award-winning actor Annaleigh Ashford is a veteran of the majority of her career collaborating with acclaimed actors and directors across theatre and on television. she is continuing her award-winning project with various upcoming ones. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail in Robert Siegel's exclusive Hulu show Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford has been engaged in the production of Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust with Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. As an Hulu Original, the film will be a part of Disney Digital Television's channels. Ashford is set to return in 2023 and will play opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for the revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will direct the production. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment that is based upon the crisis in America that picked into Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters in the country's first impeachment trial in more than 100 years. The two-season run she had on the CBS show B Positive was her first major character. It was produced by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. The show featured Linda Lavin Sheryl Crow, Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. Her portrayal of Essie in You Can't Take It with You was a winner of the Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde is among her other Broadway performances. Ashford, who was brought up in Denver and now lives living in Los Angeles and New York.
