Ashley was born 10 Februar 1987, in San Clemente California. At the age of 5, Ashley started to surf before relocating out of California and into Hawaii. She won her first surf competition when she was just 6 with an old surfboard that she found in the backyard the front of her home. The first time she started surfing was in the age of five and by the age of six, she had already won the first competition. By 7 she had a sponsorship.
