Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very popular. Her family was home-schooled by her mom in the USA. Raised with racial taunts and made to feel unwanted. It was in her ninth grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim during an audition. Not only did she gain confidence from the experience however, she also re-evaluate her plans for her career. In 1992 she graduated with her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. In the year 23 she started her professional career, making her debut at the Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. Her most memorable break came from her role as The Lady of The Lake, in the first Broadway version of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great praise for the performance. The following year, in 2007 she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. Apart from having a cult following as a singer, she also released her own solo album and an extended piece. Also, she's been an advocate for LGBT concerns.
